Mt. Arayat, the 3,564
feet high mountain at Barrio Bano. Mt. Arayat is a favorite destination among
tourists and picnickers. One feels its cool breeze even on a hot summer
day and from a hundred springs flow cool water that runs down the
mountainside in rivulets.
Candaba Swamps, a
bird sanctuary and a haven for bird watchers, thousands of wild ducks
migrate here during winter in China.
Kamikaze East Airfield
(Malalacat), it is from this airfield where the Kamikaze pilots took
off for their last mission as the official human bombs in October 1944.
The Philippine
Christmas Village (San Fernando, Pampanga). This attraction upholds
the Filipino tradition of celebrating the longest Christmas ever. The
first of its kind in Asia, the village is shaped like a giant lantern
sprawling on 9.3 hectares of land.
Hash House Harriers
(Angeles City). Each
week you have the opportunity of discovering Angeles City and the
surrounding countryside on foot. The Angeles City Hash House Harriers
depart from the Birds Of Paradise Bar, Angeles City, each Sunday at
3pm. For a small fee you get to participate in an interesting walk around
the local country side followed by a beer or three! You don't have to be
fit, all you need is a little sense of adventure and a liking for fun.
